Project Manager leads one or more major capital improvement projects with a combined portfolio of up to $40 million. The
Sen
ior
Project Manager has
accountability
for all aspects of projects beginning with scope definition and justification, and extending through design, construction, and start-up. Project responsibilities
include
planning and control of scope, schedule,
budget
and quality. Additionally, th
e
Senior
Project Manager ensures all projects satisfy financial reporting requirements.
The
Senior
Project Manager may also direct Project Engineers and/or subcontractors as part of a team for a specific large project
Duties and Responsibilities
(not limited to)Generate project scope and justificationDevelop execution plan drawing on mix of internal and external resourcesLead team to develop technical specifications, equipment specifications and drawings for a proper designDevelop, maintain, and control project scheduleDevelop, maintain and control budgetCoordinate internal stakeholders to design for best practiceOversee construction activities, including management and direction of subcontractorsEstablish and maintain project filesComplete the Project close-out processWork with internal and external resources to ensure work is completed to applicable environmental and government requirementsCommunicate effectively with Manufacturing, Leadership, and Procurement teams to meet project goalsComply with all company policies and proceduresWork safely, fully participate in and support all corporate safety programsTrack all project costs utilizing SAP Project SystemsProvide periodic status reports, cost reports and financial projections over the course of the projectIdentify and value asset base at completion of projectEnsure a fair procurement processGenerate purchase requisitions and approve paymentCreate or direct the preparation of bid documents for subcontracted activitiesMonitor and control supplier's adherence to meeting specifications, schedule, and scopeDomestic travel of 25% with periods of up to 50% requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent from four-year college or university

requiredPMP Certification is required10+ years
in a heavy industry manufacturing environment is required10+ years
as a Project Manager is required7-10 years
supervising engineering and construction contractors is required2-3 years
supervisory experience is preferred
