Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and utilizing the nursing process, provides care to patients in accordance with their developmental needs, following the standards of the Department of Nursing and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.Core Job Responsibilities
Perform complete assessment data collection, under the supervision of an RN and / or provider, on all patientsAssess and reassess pain.
Educates the patient and family regarding pain managementObserve and identify adverse changes in patient condition and notifies appropriate RN and / or
providerMaintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administrationInteracts professionally with patient and family. Involves patient and family in patient education.Cleans and operates equipment correctlyPerform other duties as required.Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:Practical Nursing Registration.Current New York S
Licensure/Certification Requirements
REQUIRED:CPR Certification
