Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical systems for buildings in the K-12, higher education, and government space.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design concepts

• Engineering, CAD drafting, Building Information Modeling

• Advising Project Managers on electrical design issues

• Performing Short Circuit Calculations, Service Load Analysis

• Sizing electrical distribution equipment, feeders, and circuits

• Specifying electrical equipment

• Coordination of electrical design work with mechanical and plumbing designers

• Supervising and mentoring less experienced electrical engineers and designer

Qualifications

Familiar with COMcheck, REScheck, FlaCom, Visual, AGi32, and SKM Power Tools

Designing working drawings, wiring diagrams, wiring connection specifications or cross-sections of underground cables

Knowledgeable of basic mechanical and plumbing general requirements for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities

Knowledgeable of construction administration responsibilities including submittal review, RFI responses, performing site visits and writing field reports

Ability to travel for job site visits and building surveys as required

AutoCAD proficient; Revit experience

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
