Tableau Application Engineer

This is a 12 month contract with Vanguard. Remote to start, hybrid onsite after 1-2 months, Just need to say. . 2 days office 3 days remote. Visa: No H1B, others open. Linkedin and referecnes must. Local candoidate highly preferred. esponsibilities Working as an Application/Data Engineer with a focus on Tableau, providing both up skilling and supporting investment professionals in Tableau as the need arises. Additional opportunities may be present with other analytical tools like SageMaker, Athena, S3, Python, Git, etc. Part of a highly dynamic team that has far-reaching impact across our Equity, Fixed Income, Quant, Risk Management, Investment Strategy and Finance business. Team is comprised of other Application/Data Engineers that have a wide range of experience with development both in the analytics and traditional software development lifecycle. This position is best fit for an individual who enjoys working with clients to help them gain the insights and value they want with the right skills and tools. They should have the ability to be self-starters and highly motivated to get things done. Ideal Skillset: Strong experience with Tableau to generate data analytics Experience with software development, particularly in Python Familiarity and experience with AWS Services like SageMaker, Athena, S3, IAM, EMR Well versed with AWS cloud technology/processes Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines like Bitbucket to Bamboo Experience working with data ingestion, transformation and reporting Comfortable working with business clients to help them gain insights Familiarity with Agile Development Principles Preferred Skillset: Finance acumen is preferred Machine learning experience is preferred
