The User Experience (UX) Design Manager leads a team of UX professionals to deliver excellent digital experiences across Sherwin-Williams websites and applications. This role will ensure solutions are elegant, customer focused, easy-to-use, intuitive and aligned with brand standards. The UX Design Manager will advocate for the voice of the customer and infuse user experience principles into all aspects of product development. Strategy & Planning Collaborate with product owners, designers, delivery teams and users to create product strategies and UX deliverables that contribute to business success Coach the team on UX Activities and approach, in conjunction with the UX Research Manager, to uncover needs and insights during the discovery process Determine staffing and skills requirements for projects Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders including product owners, business teams and IT partners to align with and achieve business objectives Collaborate on UX strategy and process definition within the company, identify areas of value impact and present to peers and UX management. Identify opportunities and gain alignment on cross-team process & efficiency improvements. Support implementation of enhancements across your team Acquisition & Deployment Contribute to the establishment of a UX vision for products supported. Manage UX resources to deliver usable, visually compelling, and on-brand solutions supported by UX research and best practices Manage the construction of user flows, wireframes and prototypes to communicate concepts and align stakeholders on proposed designs. Oversee formative and summative UX research to shape design decisions and measure the effectiveness of designed solutions Establish and maintain UI consistency, best practices and UX standards across platforms through the implementation of a comprehensive design system Operational Management Lead design and communication meetings with IT and business partners Help craft the vision for User Experience at Sherwin-Williams and identify and implement strategies towards realizing that vision Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the user experience team Help to formalize models of engagement with the UX team and define menus of UX services for the organization to leverage Conduct staffing assessments, performance management and resource management. Contribute to general planning for the team Set employee objectives, monitor performance and provide regular feedback and coaching Create and maintain development plans for team members, including training, skills assessment, career planning, and goal planning Measure and track ROI of UX successes, construct case studies that demonstrate the impact of UX Incidental Functions Train and knowledge share with development and project teams Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups. Facilitate conversations to gain alignment Conduct research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks Responsible for hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy Formal Education & Certification Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business). Knowledge & Experience 10+ years of IT or business experience. 4+ years of experience managing direct reports. 3+ years of experience as a UX professional applying user-centered design fundamentals, interaction design principles and creating wireframes, user flows, storyboards and prototypes 2+ years hands-on experience working with diverse groups of s
