$60hr - 10 month contract

This team is responsible for core enterprise architecture
looking for java + spring + aws (S3, ec2,kubernetes) + xml + json + jenkins + maven
someone who can convert java to json (vice-versa)
mostly backend development
90% dev 10% deployment
Senior Java Developer role is 70% middle tier Server and 30% presentation tier. Developers are expected implement requirements from the front end through to the database / OOM layer.
Responsibilities:
Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate to designSource code developmentUnit test case developmentFunctional/system integration testing support and DeploymentSupport production as needed and meet development schedulesQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience developing web-based applicationsMinimum 5 years development experience in Java/J2EE technologiesStrong Communication SkillsThe successful candidate must have, in order of importance:
Experience with Spring, Spring MVC, an ORM framework (myBatis or Hibernate preferred)Experience using and implementing RESTful web servicesExperience with Java, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, jQueryExperience with multi-threading using core Java libraries particularly the Executor framework.Knowledge of XML, JSON, and AJAX techniquesStrong understanding of SQL database designSelf-motivated and willing to learnAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.The below skills are nice to have in addition to the required skills in order of preference:
Experience with JBoss, Apache, TomcatExperience with Angular, React, Node.js and XSLTExperience with unit testing frameworks such as jUnit or SeleniumStrong understanding of stored proceduresExperience with Cloud technologies focused on AWSExperience with CI/CD PipelinesFamiliarity with Web application security considerationsMust have good understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability, security)Prior experience developing property & casualty applicationsFamiliarity with developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
