Job Title: Interior Architect/Designer
Responsibilities:
The Designer, while working under general supervision of Project Manager and/or clients provides design support primarily in project administration, concept design, design development and contract documents
Works with team to develop design ideas, create presentations and construction documents
Will be drafting technical drawings and review Junior Designer's space plans and potential complications to provide support
Reviews construction documents to ensure compliance with firm standards, building systems, codes and ADA requirements
Works with Lead Designer to research and select fixtures and finishes for projects
Produces preliminary concept designs for larger projects, but may develop and finalize conceptual designs for smaller projects
Helps mentor and develop junior level team members on projects
LDevelops/manages design budget and project cost estimates and communicates with Lead Design/PM of potential variances
Reviews engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solutions
Will conduct client interviews to determine space needs and requirements for projects
May go on site visits/surveying when needed
Requirements:
Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent is required
Must be accredited in the United States
Note: Graphic Design and UX/UI backgrounds are NOT applicable
6 to 10 years’ of professional, post-graduate experience in corporate interior design projects is required
Post-graduate experience does not include internship experience
Does not include experience outside of US standard
Working knowledge of contract documents and procedures, building systems, codes and ADA requirements
Proficiency in Revit is required; Enscape is preferred
Previous FF&E, spec, contract administration and space planning experience is required
Advanced design skills
Must be local- this is a hybrid/in office role
Salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience
