Kroger is looking for current college students who are interested in gaining on the job training, mentorship, and real-world experience in their field of choice.
The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12 week immersive experience that offers students an opportunity to grow their careers through a variety of focused internship assignments. Summer Rotation Dates: May 19 - August 8.
Our program offers competitive pay, hands-on learning experiences, company exposure to senior leaders, and professional development opportunities. Spend your summer driving projects, refining your professional skills, working along industry leaders, and connecting with other students from across the country.
Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).
Minimum
Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management majors preferred, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own workAbility to work in groups or independentlyAccuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of informationExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organizationManaging multiple priorities between school, work or extra-curricular activitiesResponds to change as a positive challengeProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Significant level of multi-taskingAssist in the completion of existing Corporate Supply Chain initiatives, as well as to improve the overall productivity of the department. Work within the Corporate Supply Chain team, as well as within the operational departments that comprise Kroger's supply chain such as Merchandising, Procurement, DC Operations, Transportation, and Store Operations.Manage multiple supply chain projects while adhering to timelinesCommunicate status and any potential risks/issues to the appropriate teamsAssist with the documentation of supply chain processes and best practicesAssist in the creation of process improvement projectsConduct supply chain analysisActively seek and recommend new supply chain project opportunitiesAssist with project risk, develop plans and escalate unresolved issuesPartner with appropriate teams to elicit, analyze, document and deliver supply chain solutionsComplete cumulative project (summary of internship accomplishments) and present to executive team or appropriate manager(s)Travel independently up to 25%
