The UI/UX Web Developer must have a keen understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and be proficient in crafting interfaces for a positive and cohesive user experience. The candidate will develop web-based C++, Java, JavaScript, and html applications that support the Army training environment. The candidate must be able to work with data engineers, architects, integrators, and system administrators to develop effective capabilities that meet defined requirements and satisfy acceptance criteria; integrate applications and design the database architecture and server scripting and establish connectivity required with internal and external systems and data sources; manage and track system fixes and changes and work with a business analyst to ensure capabilities are debugged and conform to security and other policy requirements; and develop technical documentation. Must also work with the test manager to ensure capabilities meet requirements and acceptance criteria.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.Elicit requirements from the client's Subject Matter Experts and Product Owners.Translate user requirements into executable and supportable software design and technical objectives to rapidly drive convergence towards the best governance compliant solution. In this role, the developer will analyze requirements, implement designs, program application interfaces and produce user-centric products. Integration of software is based on documented customer requirements and consistency with industry best practices and Army standards, policies, and products. Support to tiered integration and regression testing is inherent.Create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups of user interfaces for the client's systems.Work with the development team to understand technical constraints and to communicate the desired functionality for the end-user system.Develop user-centered conceptual designs (via mockups, wireframes, etc.).Evaluate designs (via heuristic evaluations) and design and conduct usability tests.Work within the Agile software lifecycle model from concepts to design and delivery through to formal release, field support and component migration. Candidate provides functional analysis for design, development, implementation and support of spatial visualization features.Hands-on rapid integration with vendor, program of record and open-source applications to develop and maintain high quality code base, consistently delivering stable and maintainable modules on schedule that fit within the operating environment.Qualifications

Must be U.S. citizen.Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or related field; Master's Degree in design or related field is a plus.Proven work experience as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, or similar role.Three years' experience in design and development of complex UI / internet applications.Three years of working with web application frameworks.Experience with wireframe/prototype design tools (i.e., Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator or Fireworks) or Axure/Balsamiq, etc.Understanding of browser-specific compatibility issues, multiple design methodologies and architectural patterns and complex database concepts and data structures.Experience writing and leveraging RESTful and SOAP web services.Development experience on UNIX/Linux and Windows systems.Experience transitioning proof of concept prototypes to structured build and release software lifecycle.Experience with Git or similar version control tools.Experience designing, planning, deploying, and troubleshooting applications in high-demand, high-assurance and-scalable operating environments.Must be an excellent team player with strong collaboration skills and be able to work with various cross functional teams. Teams have diverse functional experts like operational analysts, DBAs, training and data specialists and system integrators and engineers focused on common user-centric objectives.Clearance:Must possess a Secret security clearance or be eligible for one.Travel
