Come join our team We have an immediate opening for a Senior Capital Project Manager . Reporting to the Engineering and Project Execution Manager, this role will lead the planning and execution of large capital projects to design and install new facilities and chemical processing systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead large capital projects from inception to completion through the engineering, procurement, construction, and testing phases. Translate customer and business requirements into project scope documents. Develop and implement project execution plans that clearly communicate project scope and provide resource and budget requirements that are progressively developed as the project matures. Manage projects against approved budgets and schedules to ensure that they are completed on time and budget. Manage internal and external engineering resources to ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with the project execution plan. Work with project team members to proactively identify and track risks including development of risk mitigation strategies for key risks. Manage the procurement process for projects, using equipment specifications to bid and order necessary parts and equipment. Translate project scope requirements and engineering deliverables into scope documents and bid packages to facilitate the bid process for construction and fabrication. Manage the internal and external resources executing project scope including management of the interfaces between scope packages and ensuring that work is completed on-time and to specification. Keep management and all stakeholders informed on all issues affecting project timeline and budget. Coordinate internal resources and third parties to move projects to completion. Procure equipment, materials, and services and select and hire subcontractors. Leads cross-functional reviews at critical points. Successfully manage client and stakeholder relationships. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications/Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering (preference chemical/mechanical) with 5-10 years of related experience and/or training. Certificates, licenses and registrations preferred: PMP Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project. Other skills required: o Working knowledge of high purity gas installation techniques. o Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics, P&IDs, and construction drawings. o Proficient in cost estimating techniques and understanding of estimate accuracy at various project stages. o Knowledge of building codes, consensus engineering standards, and applicable regulations. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Continually required to sit and utilize hand and finger dexterity, talk or hear. Regularly work near moving mechanical parts. Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally is exposed to outside weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 15 lbs. Up to 20% travel may be required.
