Regional Sales Manager, Producer Origination- South East RegionADM Ag Services and OilseedsThis is a full-time, exempt position.Ideally this role will be located in Memphis, TN.

Job SummaryAs a Regional Sales Manager, you will lead a team of talented sales professionals who are responsible for earning the right to do business with producer customers. These long-term relationships help secure supply chains critical to feeding the world's growing population, improving diets, and decarbonizing the environment through regenerative ag practices. You will have responsibility for a large sales territory in Memphis, Tennessee; Mound City, Illinois; and Livingston Point, Kentucky directly overseeing the origination activities for ADM's river locations, corn processing, wheat milling and oilseed crush businesses as well as our fertilizer business.

You might be the right candidate if you have experience with leading a sales team, and background in the agricultural industry around production agriculture and its interconnected markets. Your skill set should encompass collaborating seamlessly with both direct and indirect stakeholders, building, and leading a team of sales professionals to achieve desired results, and playing a pivotal role in serving producers while they navigate the intricacies of regen ag programs and marketing decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Create and lead farm direct grain origination, strategy, and growth with a team of 10-22 sales personnel while staying in lock step with commercial business partners including regenerative ag and fertilizerBecome a trusted advisor by establishing positive relationships based on your ability to uncover customer needs and dedication to delivering valueDevelop customer acuity to understand each customer's footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and the competitive landscapeLearn and develop the region's unique origination footprint, strategic goals, technological plans, and ever-evolving competitive landscape.Implement consistent prospecting and pipeline development plans of each team member tailored to their individual territoriesEvaluate and manage the strengths and weaknesses of your team through uplifting coaching, mentoring, and strategic staffingProvide and encourage leadership and education of grain and related markets to sales team members and other ADM stakeholdersCollaborate with commercial partners on asset specific goals and ensure alignmentJob Requirements

10+ years sales management experienceDemonstrate capacity to evaluate and manage risk, along with an understanding of how to lead and conduct professional sales calls with customers and prospectsDedication to be a positive & professional team leaderAbility to function as a leader to coach, mentor, and develop sales staff with strong collaboration across other job functionsStrong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentEffective oral and written communication skills as well as ability to interface with various levels within ADMBasic understanding of grain markets, grain contracting methods, related ag markets and offerings, production agriculture and the application of those to the producerProficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook and TeamsProficient in the use and application of mobile technologyDedication to utilize technology applications that are critical to sales activitiesCommitment to own the use of Salesforce to track customer interactions and capture critical business informationCommitment to territory planning, development, and efficient executionExceptional organizational and time-management skillsEarly adopter of new technology and ability to lead and influence other target usersBachelor's Degree requiredExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
