Description
The OpportunityAutomation Developers have the responsibility for delivering the automated processes under the supervision of experienced and accredited automation developers. The first year of this role is to stand up the function, which includes establishing the competencies of the function and partnering with the operational departments to develop automations. The continuing functions of this role will include exploration and implementation of new RPA opportunities within Partners Corporate, assisting in the development of use cases for Class 2 and Class 3 automations, and general maintenance of the existing automations.Designing Blue Prism process solutions in accordance with standard PHS design principles and conventionsConfiguring new Blue Prism processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understandCreating and maintaining process design documentation (PDD) and solution design documentation (SDD)Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control processIdentifying and communicating technical infrastructure requirements to support automationsProblem solving issues that arise in day to day running of Blue Prism processes and providing timely responses and solutions as requiredSupporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control processMentoring colleagues through the Blue Prism training and accreditation program - providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniquesWorking within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control processCreating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phasesSupporting the Operational Teams during UAT and rollout phases
Qualifications
QualificationsBachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 2 years' experience in the successful delivery and support of Excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration/scripting type technologyUnderstanding of Microsoft technologies including .NET and reporting solutionsA working knowledge of current business processes and the ability to understand new business processesExperience with end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management and escalation processes
Skills for SuccessGood communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audienceGood interpersonal skills with the ability to interview process owners, gather business process details and identify solution requirementsGood written skills with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes and automated solution designsExcellent problem solving and analytical skills (including the ability to self-sufficiently research and identify potential solutions to problems encountered)Ability to self-teach new technical skills and utilize them as part of a teamCreates development standards and promotes modularization and reuse of codeContributes to creation of standard approaches and techniquesAn ability to envision how an automated solution will work in the wider business environment and to understand its benefits & effectsThe ability to conceptualize Blue Prism solutions and understand the prescribed Blue Prism design architectureAn understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagramThe ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mindAn understanding of formal change control procedures and disciplines.Assists with peer code review and quality checksProvides mentoring and guidance to other RPA developersTime management skills and the ability to simultaneously work on multiple automationsExcellent relationship-building skillsA good understanding of MGB processes and applications
