Job Description Summary A Service Delivery Architect is responsible for the creation of technical multi-component solution designs. Service Delivery Architects partner with Manage Services, Professional Services, Sales, and Customers to identify and implement solutions that enable technical innovation and profitability. The Service Delivery Architect will lead through influence often engaging a project team or presales initiative helping to ensure technical and strategic success. Primary expertise is in the evaluation and creation of multiple solution design options meeting complex project requirements and constraints while ensuring standards are maintained with an emphasis on stability and growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Authors Service Delivery Architecture documents that define the agreed solution, including service definitions, scope, interface design, impacted components, risks, and necessary trade-offs. * Provides expert knowledge of interface architectures, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to business, operations, and technology teams. * Reviews, comments, and approves deliverables created as part of the project delivery methodology. * Provides technical leadership to stakeholders to design the overall solution and resolve ongoing technical issues within the initiative. * Provides ongoing support and guidance to development teams with recommended training during the analysis, development, and testing processes. * Presents technical issues to technical governance boards and leadership for decision-making and communicate decisions to impacted teams. * Reviews designs for their ability to achieve business benefits within estimated cost restraints. * Negotiates scope and costs with vendor partners as applicable for their initiatives, ensuring alignment with project objectives. * Collaborates with stakeholders to review and contribute to Managed Services Technology Roadmaps. * Creates and communicates suggested technical solutions, Managed Services impacts, and costs for customer, regional, and global initiatives. * Identifies organizational and financial impacts of solutions, working with leadership on necessary adjustments. * Engages in customer activities such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), high-level escalations, and Design for Partnership (DFP) recommendations and delegation. * Collaborates with vendor partners to integrate partner development activities within project timelines. * Mentors technical resources interested in growth or required for business initiatives. Provides Business Partnership with various groups: * Establishes strong working relationships with Global, Managed Services, Professional Services, Sales, and Customers. * Establishes strong working relationships with the Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure alignment with best practices and standards. * Participates in and support cross-technology and cross-functional process improvement initiatives, contributing to organizational efficiency and effectiveness. * Participates in Global Architecture/Engineering working groups, ensuring alignment of Managed Services with technology directions and organizational objectives. * Attends and/or provides recommendations for customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). * Addresses highest level escalations and customer care issues effectively. * Engages in sales and solution assurance activities as needed. * Presents technical issues to governance boards or leadership for decision-making. * Seeks out continuous improvement opportunities within the scope of responsibilities. * Performs documentation and knowledge sharing: * Writes Knowledge Base (KB) articles as needed to document technical processes and procedures. * Ensures documentation standards are met and maintained for all relevant processes and procedures. * Provides training and uplift recommendations based on projected business and customer needs. * Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the missio of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values. * Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors. * Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations. Education/Experience/Technical Requirements/Certifications Equivalent combination accepted. Education * Bachelor's Degree in related field. Experience / Technical Requirements * 10+ years' experience implementing Information Technology in an enterprise of similar technical breadth and scale. Ideally across multiple functional roles including Architect, Design, Code, Test, Deploy, and Operate. * 1-3 Years performing Service Delivery Architecture for an MSP. * 10+ years of experience in network architecture, design, implementation, and management required. * Proficiency in network routing and switching protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. * Strong understanding of WAN and backbone network architectures and protocols. * Experience with next-generation firewall technologies from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, or Fortinet. * Proficiency in cloud networking services and security principles, particularly in Azure and AWS environments. * Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) for software-defined networking in data center environments. * Knowledge of SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Networking) principles, including experience with solutions such as Cisco Viptela and Meraki or similar. * Familiar with network monitoring and management (experience with LogicMonitor a plus. Certifications * CCNP * CCIE level preferred, with a preference for CCIE-level knowledge or certification Other Skills and Abilities * Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the abilit.y to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. * Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a focus on problem-solving and innovation. * Understanding of software development lifecycle practices. * Knowledge of the following: * Interface patterns, and typical system integration techniques * Project Management methodologies * Architecture methodologies, standards and tools * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of initiatives and prioritize effectively.
