Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.Responsibilities:
Will be part of a small team of technically strong individualsPerform design, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process providing innovative and creative solutions in a collaborative manner under tight deadlinesBuild sophisticated and complex functionality to the Treasury business to be more effective in managing the client's liquidityMaintain high standard and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance and general structure
Requirements:
Strong expertise and working experience in PythonKnowledge of computer science data structures and algorithmsKnowledge of ORM libraries like SQL alchemy, etc.Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databasesExperience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as Restful services and robust micro servicesExperience with web services development and REST interfaces in PythonExperience with Analytic reporting tools like TableauAnalytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skillsAble work with business users involving complex requirements gathering and translating them into actionable items for developersExperience working in ContainersMaintain high standard and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance and general structureExperience in CICD, Jenkins, GitExperience working on high volume applicationsExperience working in Agile teamsHigh degree of initiative, commitment and technical excellenceRecord of successful delivery of software applications as an individual and with a teamStrong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), desire to implement continuous delivery and integration within the development life cycle, understand agile software development methodologies and principlesSelf-motivated, self-managed, team-player, action results-focused, has a high command of verbal and written English and able to clearly communicate design, architecture, implementations and requirements
Desired skills:
Knowledge of Liquidity Reports like Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, CRD IV, etc.Experience working in regulatory projects
