Azure DevOps Engineer Job Description
Responsibilities: Automating Building of Application code using Build Pipeline in Azure DevOps (formerly TFS). Troubleshoot Applications and Infrastructure resources hosted in Azure. Implement Infrastructure as Code for Cloud, using Automation Tools like ServiceNow. Support all Cloud Resources in Azure. Automating Deployment of Application Code using tools Like Octopus Deploy. Develop monitors and alerts for errors and performance. Develop and manage CI/CD process for different types of application and automate as many processes as possible. Work in an Agile environment to support individuals on proper DevOps practices. Manage and support environments in Microsoft Azure cloud including managing full release process. Consult customers on technical aspects of installation, sizing, scaling. Develop, implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline to system integration environment. Requirements:
Requires five (5) years of experience. Requires a bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field. 5+ years of Technical Design, implementation, and support of highly distributed setups (ensure high availability and reliability). Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer is highly desirable. 5+ years' experience working in Automation and DevOps. Expert skills with PowerShell scripting and reading/analyzing Web technologies such as JSON, HTML, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, etc. Monitoring and automation scripting abilities (bash, powershell, python, ruby) Strong working experience source control systems like Git, GitHub, Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Working experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Strong working experience with integration technologies like Jenkins, Hudson, etc and hands-on experience in Azure Integration Services (Services bus, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Functions). Prior experience optimizing apps for maximum performance in both stand-alone and distributed systems Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls. Excellent problem solving and debugging skills. Working experience with federated IdP (okta preferred) or CyberArk. Experience in successfully deploying Platform as a Service (PaaS). Have excellent problem-solving skills utilizing both internal and external resources to get the job done. Strong understanding & troubleshooting skills of cloud, automation, and infrastructure. Ability to connect on-premises technology to Cloud Offerings. The ability to work with a wide range of open-source technologies and tools. Ability to do regular, incremental code testing and deployment. Be well-versed in automation tools. Ability to collaborate, communicate openly, and reach beyond functional boundaries
