Position:

Senior PostgreSQL DBALocation: Woodlawn, MD (Hybrid)Duration: 12 Months and possibility of extension

Description:Seeking an experienced Senior PostgreSQL DBA to manage and optimize our PostgreSQL databases, oversee data migration processes, and collaborate with clients to meet their data management needs.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

PostgreSQL Database Management:

Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.Data Migration:

Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and minimal downtime during transitions.Client Interaction:

Work closely with clients to understand their database needs, provide technical support, and ensure client satisfaction.Development Support:

Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance, design schemas, and develop database-related code.Infrastructure Management:

Manage and maintain the database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and adherence to best practices.

Required Skills:

PostgreSQL Expert:

Extensive experience in PostgreSQL database administration, optimization, and troubleshooting.Database Expert:

Deep understanding of database concepts, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security practices.

Preferred Skills:

Java Development:

Experience in Java programming and its integration with PostgreSQL databases.SailPoint:

Familiarity with SailPoint Identity Management solutions.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
