We are seeking a strategically minded Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team and play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape. If you are skilled in IT strategy, digital transformation, and leveraging technology to achieve business objectives, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and rapidly evolving biotech environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis and Requirements GatheringCollaborate with stakeholders in G&A departments and Clinical Development to understand business needs, identify pain points and translate them into actionable requirementsAnalyze current business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and innovations through technology solutionsCreate user stories, process flows, and other documentation to effectively communicate business needs to technical teams and implementation partnersApplication Support and User ExperienceProvide strategic guidance and support to business stakeholders for key G&A and Clinical Development applications, including:
NetSuite (ERP)Coupa (Procurement)Medidata (Clinical trial management)Wingspan (eTMF)Dotcompliance (Quality management)Paylocity (HRIS)Greenhouse (ATS)
Act as the primary liaison between end-users and IT, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and escalating complex challenges to implementation partners for additional technical supportDevelop and deliver user training and documentation to enhance system adoption and user satisfactionGather and analyze user feedback to drive continuous improvement of systems and processes, ensuring the alignment with the evolving business needsProject Coordination and Partner ManagementCoordinate with external implementation partners and vendors for system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and complex issue resolution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Assist in managing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for IT initiatives employing best practices in project management.Facilitate communication between business units, IT team, and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals and outcomes.Business Process OptimizationAnalyze current workflows and suggest process improvements leveraging existing systemsCollaborate with stakeholders to map out future state processes and identify technology needs to support company's growth and strategic objectivesAssist in change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems minimizing disruptions and maximizing users' buy-in.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems administration, or similar rolesStrong understanding of business processes in G&A functions and early to mid-stage Clinical DevelopmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsSuperior communication and documentation skillsExperience with requirements gathering and process mappingFamiliarity with project management methodologiesBasic understanding of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including GxP, SOX, and GDPRPreferred Skills and ExperienceProven track record of delivering IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives within a consulting or corporate settingExperience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), financial software, and clinical trial management systems (preferably Medidata)Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and AWS Cloud platformsCSPO, CBAP, or similar business analysis certificationExperience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industryKey AttributesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across various departmentsSelf-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independentlyCollaborative mindset with excellent cross-functional teamwork skillsAdaptable and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment without excessive organizational structureDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and qualityCustomer-service oriented with a passion for helping others leverage technology effectivelyOpportunities for DevelopmentGain extensive exposure to a broad range of business operations, clinical development processes, and IT systems in the biotechnology sector.Develop a deep understanding of how technology supports and drives innovation in drug development.Internal and external training resources will be provided to support your personal and professional growth, including opportunities to expand your knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and emerging technologies.Opportunity to grow your skills in project management, change management, and business analysis methodologies.Potential for career advancement through performance and increased responsibilities over time, with pathways to roles such as Senior Business Analyst or IT Business Partner.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing opportunities to broaden your understanding of various aspects of a biopharmaceutical company's operations.
