We are seeking a senior Tableau Developer to develop an Equity Data Dashboard using Tableau. The Equity Data Dashboard will leverage real-time data visualization to drive continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts at the local implementing agency (LIA), community, and state levels and leverage data as a tool towards eliminating structural racism.
DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business requirements and ensure high quality data visualizationsWork with business users to understand their needs, analyze data sources and develop appropriate data modelsDevelop and maintain data pipelines that feed the Tableau server environmentCreate and maintain technical documentation for all Tableau development workParticipate in data governance, security, and compliance activitiesOptimize and troubleshoot Tableau reports and dashboards for performanceUtilize SQL in data analytics to collect, understand, transform, cleanse, store, and share data in a privacy-preserving way (ETL)Stay up to date with emerging Tableau features and technologies, and propose new solutions to improve our data visualization capabilitiesIdentify patterns and meaningful insights from data through qualitative and quantitative analysis, including but not limited to predictive modeling and data miningPrepare reports and presentations that accurately convey data trends and associated analysisCollaborate with functional areas to develop and maintain performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targetsEstablish standards for data processing and visualization within the programWork side-by-side with data & Enterprise architects to define problems, build models, and perform analysis to identify and implement recommendationsAssist in functional, performance, ADA testing, governance, data quality, training, and documentation effortsCommunicate with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe data modeling decisions and data visualization strategiesQUALIFICATIONS:
Tableau Certification: Data Analyst or aboveTableau Community ProfileAdvanced, preferably expert-level skills with Tableau Desktop, Prep, and Tableau ServerKnowledge of data visualization principles and effective dashboard designKnowledge of Javascript and Tableau extensionsAttention to detail and the ability to reconcile dataAbility to troubleshoot issues reported by usersKnowledge and understanding of health and racial equity (demonstrated experience in projects to promote equity preferred)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Information Technology / Business (Data Analytics) / Statistics / Data Science8+ years of advanced, preferably expert-level, experience with Tableau Desktop8+ years of SQL experienceExperience with ADA compliance & Tools
