Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a
Trainer - I
to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct manufacturing-related training activities within assigned manufacturing facility; develops new training programs, methods, and materials; and updates current programs to reflect the most recent process changes and/or developments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your PrioritiesTrains manufacturing facility employees on company's production processes and related topics.Conducts "train-the-trainer" sessions for supervisors, managers, and other trainers, as needed.Analyzes performance improvement needs through individual interviews, focus groups and surveys, as well as by working with the management teams at their assigned facility.Creates training programs for identified gaps in employee skills, knowledge, and behavior.Modifies content and materials for existing training programs, including participant manuals, job aids, and instructor guides.Monitors effectiveness and usability of instructional media elements developed, reports areas of weakness in media or media development processes, and recommends areas for improvement.Requirements
Your Background
HS Diploma or GED, plus 5 years of related manufacturing and/or training experience
ORAssociate's Degree in a Manufacturing, Organizational Development, or a related discipline, plus 3 to 5 years of related manufacturing and/or training experience
ORBachelor's Degree in a Manufacturing, Organizational Development, or related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of related manufacturing and/or training experience.
Prior experience conducting training sessions in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, and knowledge of teaching and instruction for individuals and groups is preferred.
