Position : Senior Java Full-Stack DeveloperLocation : Onsite, Weehawken, NJImplementation : DXC TechnologiesClient : Banking
Pay Rate : $55-60 per hourNOTE : We can consider NY area and Weehawken only (locals, no relocation within US)
Project descriptionOur program was started as the migration of the financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new technical, highly-scalable platform. The success of the program in both the migration and creation of a scalable platform led to it being selected as the strategic platform providing full-scale of advisory services for one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. This has led to significant further investment for legacy system migrations and technical improvements. Currently, we have teams across several locations (Weehawken, Wroclaw) on those projects.Reengineer set of existing applications and introduce additional application interface layer, allowing to query underlying data from third-party applications
Responsibilities:Write clean codeCover own code with testsParticipate in backlog refinement, planning and demosPerform code reviewsClarify the requirements with stakeholdersParticipate in solution architecture design and implementation
Skills Must haveStrong JAVA 7 and 8 experience. 5+ years of professional web-based and API development experience in JavaMicroservices architecture and Spring framework experienceFull-stack experience: JS + React
Nice to haveExperience with PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQLMS Azure experience (we work with both, and there is a plan on migrating the old applications to Azure)Experience in banking area/ with enterprise programs
