Responsibilities:
Monitor resident smoking to assure safety and security.Supervises outdoor smoking activityProperly stores smoking equipmentExplains procedures and communicates with resident regarding safe smoke techniquesReports observations to Charge Nurse concerning the resident's condition or activitiesAssists and monitor participants who need supervision while smoking at the centerMaintain and distribute smoking materials during designated smoking breaks.Assist residents and nursing assistants with Non-Direct resident care.Knowledge and experience working around and interacting with residents in a healthcare setting is helpful but not required.Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.Must Have:
Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant programCurrent CNA certificationHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learnNice to Have:
Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environmentNursing Assistant experience providing direct care to multiple residentsBehavioral care / memory care experience
