Together, we can make a real differenceone meal at a time.Job Description:The Material Handler is responsible for operating an electric forklift to load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products within the manufacturing plant. Essential functions include loading and unloading trucks, pulling orders from inventory, delivering raw materials to production lines, staging product, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive all incoming goods. Double check quantity and accuracy of all ordered/received goodsCount, check weight, check for damaged goods before accepting and fill out all necessary information on the check in sheet for each orderPrepare outgoing orders and confirm that they are all properly stacked, wrapped and palletizedSupply production lines with raw materials as needed while ensuring products are free of foreign materialsPerform daily tasks to include checking cooler and freezer temperatures, cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and dock, and sweeping assigned area dailyRotate all stock to ensure oldest products are being consumed firstKeep accurate records for supply and finished goods inventory - Take physical inventory of product a minimum of once (1) per month of assigned areaContribute to the team effort by assisting other material handlers when neededCoordinate with label room so that they have adequate inventory for next day productionCoordinate with Quality Control and Research and Development to ensure all their supplies are accuratePerform Allergen/Organic Storage Audits of assigned area twice per month.Clean and maintain warehouse; sweep assigned area daily.Performing daily equipment checks to ensure safe operation of forkliftFollow all company Safety policies and procedures.Demonstrate good working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Sanitation Practices (GSPs).#INDTOLPosition Qualifications:JOB QUALIFICATIONS:A High School Diploma or GED preferred.Forklift operator certification requiredExperience in a food manufacturing plant is preferredBasic computer/data entry skills and math abilities requiredMust be willing to work together with co-workers as part of a team; also, must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervisionGood communication skills (reading, writing and verbal) are essential to interface with co-workers, Team Leaders and ManagersWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
