Primoris Heavy Civil is currently searching for experienced CDL Haul Truck Drivers. Heavy haul truck driver will have a wide range of responsibilities and must have the knowledge of safety regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws with what they are responsible for. This job will start mid-October.
Job Description
The Haul Truck Driver will need to have knowledge in tying down equipment and experience in running equipment: bull dozers, front end loaders, excavators, etc. in loading them onto a class 8 tractor and trailer with capacity of more than 80,000lbs.
General RequirementsPractice safety rules.Follow verbal and written instructions.Safe use of hand & power tools.Report to and assist immediate supervisor.Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.Must work well as part of a team.Functional Requirements
CDL required Class A ,10 speed manual transmission with tanker endorsement.DOT drug screen/physical.Driver must be in DOT compliance at all times.Must be register DACHMove hand and foot levers to control operating equipment.Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.Assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects.Manipulate equipment on unleveled working surfaces.Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machinesSignal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materialsInspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids and performs pre and post trip inspections.Inspects material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure and reviews shipping documents to verify all information is accurate.Qualification Standards
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (Commercial Driver Licenses).Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.New Hire Orientation QuizApplicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)Physical Requirements
Must comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs.Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required.Work Environment:
