Job Title: Network Engineer III
Location: Redmond, WA, US
Contract Duration: 11 months (with possibility of conversion to FTE based on performance)
Schedule: 9am - 5/6pm PST, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $59.73 per hour
Responsibilities: The Network Engineer III will be responsible for:
Configuring and operationalizing networking for test venue racks Developing and implementing automation scripts for network configuration verification Providing troubleshooting support for networking issues Clarifying and documenting rack and network configuration requirements Executing tasks related to network segmentation and transition to IPv6 Identifying opportunities for process improvement and best practices adoption Typical Task Breakdown:
Rack Configuration and Operationalization: 20% Automation of Verification Steps: 20% Troubleshooting and Support: 15% Clarification and Documentation of Requirements: 15% Network Segmentation and Configuration: 15% Process Improvement and Best Practices: 15% Required Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, and core technologies Experience with major internet routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF Proficiency in working with router, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms Experience in Linux/Unix environments and automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures Experience with IPv6/IPv4 design and implementation Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of industry experience Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred AWS certification for Networking preferred
