Job Title: Network Engineer III
Location: Redmond, WA, US
Contract Duration: 11 months (with possibility of conversion to FTE based on performance)
Schedule: 9am - 5/6pm PST, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $59.73 per hour
Responsibilities: The Network Engineer III will be responsible for:
Configuring and operationalizing networking for test venue racksDeveloping and implementing automation scripts for network configuration verificationProviding troubleshooting support for networking issuesClarifying and documenting rack and network configuration requirementsExecuting tasks related to network segmentation and transition to IPv6Identifying opportunities for process improvement and best practices adoptionTypical Task Breakdown:
Rack Configuration and Operationalization: 20%Automation of Verification Steps: 20%Troubleshooting and Support: 15%Clarification and Documentation of Requirements: 15%Network Segmentation and Configuration: 15%Process Improvement and Best Practices: 15%Required Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, and core technologiesExperience with major internet routing protocols such as BGP and OSPFProficiency in working with router, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platformsExperience in Linux/Unix environments and automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or PerlKnowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architecturesExperience with IPv6/IPv4 design and implementationBasic Qualifications:
7+ years of industry experienceBachelor's degree in a related field preferredAWS certification for Networking preferred
