Applications Engineer
to join the
Building Control Systems Wattstopper Team
in
Richardson, TX.
In this role, you will
p rovide project pre-sales, application, and product support and specification for a wide range of Wattstopper products; including support for Building Automation Integrators connecting to WattStopper lighting control systems. What Will You Do? Understand the requirements of project lighting control and ensure all project objectives are met. Provide application engineering support for WattStopper lighting controls including Architectural Dimming Systems, Ethernet, BACnet, Niagara networks, and customized solutions. Internal and external education on BAS networks and systems. Provide application engineering support (design, sequence of operation development, programming for controls systems, and other related duties) for WattStopper lighting control systems. Review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications and apply the information to a set of specific Watt Stopper products to meet the intent of the project documents. Develop and verify nonstandard design and custom solutions from standard product mix. Supervision of submittal generation, control programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Watt Stopper systems. Supports sales team and assists in quotations. Participates in Continuous Improvement. Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications: Required Skills Education: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related/equivalent work experience. Experience: 3+ years experience in Electrical or HVAC control systems. Software programming experience with JavaScript and LISP. There are 3 openings and for 1 of the positions, we are looking for someone experienced with AutoCAD and / or Bluebeam. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Understanding of control systems (dimming, energy management and lighting controls). Strong computer skills. Strong analytical and good communication skills. Must enjoy working in a team environment. Must be a self-starter, requiring minimal supervision. Agreeable to travel for training and support as needed.
