This role ensures the seamless integration, performance, and security of all EdTech systems, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), ClassLink, Google Workspace, and other critical enterprise systems. The position demands a strong background in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, API (Application Programming Interface) support, and identity management systems, with a particular emphasis on maintaining data compliance and security standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Masters, preferred. 3-7 years of technical experience in system integrations, or other related fields. Experience in Edtech and/or with common e-learning tools and platforms, preferred Experience with authentication and authorization protocols, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC), for implementing secure single sign-on (SSO) and federated identity management. Knowledge of Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standard for integrating educational tools and content with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Familiarity with industry-standard security protocols and best practices for managing user identities and access control across various platforms and services. Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot authentication/authorization flows using these standards within web-based applications. Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and manage various systems integrations; such as, but not limited to Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), assessment tools, and communication platforms. Ensuring that data flows smoothly between systems and that integrations are secure, reliable, and efficient. Manage identity and access management (IAM) processes, including the implementation and support of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions across various educational platforms. Coordinate with IT and security teams to ensure that identity management systems are integrated properly, providing seamless user experiences while maintaining security. Design, implement, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and efficient data transfer between systems. Develop, support, and maintain API integrations to enable seamless communication between different educational technologies and platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integrations, including SSO, IAM, ETL processes, and API-related problems. Maintain and lead data management efforts ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of data as it moves between systems. Ensuring to monitor data flows and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity. Develop and maintain data integration processes, including ETL tasks, to optimize data management and usage. Lead and manage integration projects, including timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication. Ensuring to collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and educational staff to implement new systems and integrations. Providing training and support to staff on integrated systems and processes. Manage all data integration processes ensuring ASU Prep is current with the latest requirements and best practices to ensure consistent compliance with district policies and regulations; including but not limited to, FERPA by implementing security measures to protect student and staff data during integrations. Create and maintain documentation for all integration processes, including workflows, configurations, API documentation, and troubleshooting guides. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong technical proficiency in understanding APIs, ETL processes, database, and identity management solutions. Proficient in scripting and programming languages used for integration tasks (i.e. Python, SQL, etc). Proficient in project management: manage, develop, oversee, and maintain the various implemented integrations. Ability to have strong attention to detail with a keen focus on accuracy, compliance, data security, and risk mitigation. Understand and uphold FERPA and COPPA requirements and expectations consistently. Ability to remain agile; being adaptable to new technologies and changing requirements in a fast-paced education environment. Ability to continue education in the field; learning and leading system design, updates, and architecture efforts. Ability to implement and enforce robust data security protocols to protect student and staff information. Effective organizational, written, and oral communication, interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to lead training, presentations, and provide mentorship to other team members. Demonstrated ability to develop KPIs and metrics for performance management. Demonstrated ability to work with third party vendors and partners within service management. Knowledge with common e-learning tools and platforms such Canvas, Infinite Campus, ClassLink, Salesforce PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. LOCATION: Hybrid - 3 days in person TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
