Position : Sr. Data analyst Location : Remote Duration : Contract Job Description: Exp: 10 years Project: Will be working towards 3 independent domains around Planning, Buying and Forecasting Data. Experience with Databricks is a must-have. The Data Analyst will work in a cross-functional technical community of data engineers, data scientists, product managers, agile delivery, software engineers and business partners. Qualified candidates must have a passion for enabling others to use the data appropriately to solve business problems. Data Analysts are responsible for reviewing data for quality, looking for patterns and trends as well as creation and automation of jobs that make it easier to find data problems, suggesting resolutions that improve the quality of the data as needed. Data analysts need to be able to use tools and access data from Cloud (Azure/GCP), external interfaces and on prem environments to access and analyze data. Minimum Position Qualifications: 7 or more years' experience with data review, report generation or data related fields. Verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate between business and technical and liaise with various stakeholders Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners across data, data science, product, engineering, and architecture Ability to interact well in a team environment Proficient in using and designing with Erwin Data Modeler for SQL Server, Cassandra, Kafka, MS Azure Databases and Data Stores, Cloud (Azure/GCP), Oracle, Snowflake, Confluence, Jira, Github, Hadoop or other similar technologies. Cloud(Azure/GCP), Well-versed with the concepts and application of entity definition, idempotency, normalization/de-normalization of relational models, naming convention, data types, dimensional modeling and modelling for key-value based databases. Demonstrated experience with data management, data architecture, data governance or other related work Demonstrates solid understanding of architectural components and system design principles for effective contribution to all design discussions. Strong technical skills using SQL, PySpark, BigQuery or similar Technical understanding of data, flow diagrams, and ability to read and write code and scripts Problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills Ability to create high level flow diagrams to facilitate cross-functional conversations in order to validate feasibility and usability of data Desired Previous Job Experience: Computer Sciences, IT or IS related associate degree, or a bachelor's degree, mathematics or comparable work experience in an Information Systems position or related business position. Exposure to Transportation/ Logistics business concepts and data Key Responsibilities: Articulate and/or translate business problem statements to data requirements to proactively work on design and analysis prior to system design for timely delivery Collaborate with Product Owners/Managers and cross-functional development teams to ensure data needs and changes are articulated in Jira via Stories, Epics, Features Advise, alert and resolve data issues and discrepancies to provide support to internal teams using data. Creating and maintaining reports and automating data quality checks Understand and review existing data models and patterns to identify improvements, recommend improvements in functionality, performance, etc. Ideate and develop multiple options for any given problem and present with sound logic and reasoning Learn and work in a fast-changing technology landscape to design retail systems of the future Become familiar with Kroger store and supply chain systems and sources of truth for various master data Recommend and present analysis on data as required Coordinate and align all other technology teams to ensure operational delivery processes are governed and monitored to expedite issue remediation Demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of your data domain/asset Develops deep understanding of the business domain, business context and products that use your data Collaborate on data discovery for new/existing data (internal, Kroger, 3rd party, etc.), including data queries/analysis using various tools (e.g. SQL, PySpark, BigQuery, etc.) in partnership with product management, business partners and engineering team members to determine usability Document what the data is, how it can be used, who owns/supports its, how we receive it (examples: data mapping, flow diagrams, data dictionary, business rules, quality checks, etc.) Partner with Kroger business/KTD/3rd Party and 84.51 data governance on data ingestion, changes, impacts, etc., and ensuring plans are in place for adequate testing, quality, reliability, performance, etc., for data domains/assets Regards, Rahul Jaiswal | Delivery Manager Expedent Corp | 7423 Las Colinas Blvd, Suite102, Irving, TX 75063.
