A machine shop and metal fabrication company in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a Material Handler for a 1st shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Assigned to a Manufacturing Division as an Operator of major mixing, blending, grinding and extruding equipmentMaintains accurate formulation weights and measuresMaintains accurate compliance with processing instructions and criteriaResponsible for operational setting and adjustment of assigned equipment for compliance with processing instructions and criteriaMaintains equipment and immediate areas of work station in a neat and orderly conditionAbility to deliver materials and supplies from storage to production unitsAssist with load handling at manufacturing work stationsAbility to deliver manufactured products form manufacturing work stations to storageLoads, bands or shrink packs palletized materials for shipment or storage.Stamps cartons with pre-cut stencilsAssists with maintenance of warehousing areas to a clean and orderly conditionWill be trained for competent operation up to five (5) work stationsMust be able to do cycle counts of materials. i.e. labels, boxes, cartons, etcMust have the ability to fill in and perform all duties of Job #4 (LEO) as neededMust be able to report production output and activitiesMust be able to present production information to managementAbility to unload truck, move and store raw and finished goodsQualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent in education and experienceMust be able to read, understand and comply with Bills of Material, processing/ work instructions, and packaging instructionsDemonstrate competent and safe operation of a forklift by retaining licenseMust not be color blindAbility to lift up to 100 lbs. consistentlyDemonstrate ability to safely operate hydraulic and electric pallet movers, and hand jacksAble to work in hot environments
