The Seller Insights and Planning team’s mission is to create an ecosystem within Fullfilled By Amazon (FBA) where sellers can thrive and delight customers. We achieve this through eliminating defects that increase seller costs, planning our investment strategy into under-penetrated segments, and orchestrating multi-year worldwide initiatives that span across business, technology and operations.
As a Sr Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in converting data into actionable business insights that solve complex, high-impact problems, and enhance the success of WW FBA sellers. By leveraging data, you drive operational efficiencies, provide key data-driven insights, enable new opportunities and innovate on behalf of sellers. This role requires you to present complex information in an accessible format to leadership, answering key business questions. Beyond executing required skills, you will also influence, educate, and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Key job responsibilities
Proactively evaluate WW FBA business performance to identify areas of opportunity, define the analytical requirements needed for further deep dive, and present summarized findings to senior leadership.
Partner with WW FBA stakeholders to develop and align on business metrics, automated reporting structures, and process improvements to meet business requirements.
Aggregate data from multiple sources related to WW FBA seller performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics and compile it into a digestible and actionable format.
Directly perform adhoc analysis to determine the root cause issues of ambiguous systemic challenges at the request of senior leadership.
Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
A day in the life
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
5+ years of writing advanced SQL queries
5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
5+ years of Excel (pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Experience defining requirements to achieve complex business solutions
Ability to transform data and metrics into visualizations and summaries for L10+ audiences
Proficient written and verbal communication skills with comfortability presenting to L10+ audiences
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or analytical discipline
5+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
5+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
Ability to transform data and metrics into visualizations and summaries for senior leader audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering, analytics, or similar quantitative field
Proficient written and verbal communication skills with comfortability presenting to senior leader audiences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
