Summary:We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our Engineering Infrastructure TPM team. As a Scrum Master, you will work with our Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to develop efficient and effective processes for intake, triage, grooming, prioritization, planning, and execution. You will serve as an example and a coach. Your goal will be to lead each team to a higher level of operational maturity.You will work closely with Architects, Engineering Managers, and Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to ensure that the teams' daily work aligns with organizational priorities. You will enable the team to manage risk, remove obstacles, and manage stakeholders. You will serve as a mentor to our teams - helping to foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
Objectives of this role:
Partner with SRE scrum teams to develop high functioning agile practicesPartner with SRE teams to ensure effective processes for intake, triage, grooming, planning, execution, and stakeholder management are in placeTrain Engineering Managers & Team Leads how to serve in the role of Scrum MasterEnsure agile ceremonies are efficient and effective.Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices.Your tasksTemporarily facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives while training the team how to serve in the role of scrum masterLead the clean-up of the team's backlogs, intake processes, sprint boards, and other dashboardsEvaluate the quality of the team's work tickets, and lead an effort to ensure all internal stories are written with a high degree of quality.Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team's velocity.Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.Work with the team to develop effective means for managing stakeholders, communicating status, and for addressing risks and issues.Assist the teams in managing their quarterly roadmaps.Ensure that the team adheres to Agile principlesCoach the teams in self-organizationCreate internal agile documentation for the teams to refer to
Required skills and qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a product development organizationStrong knowledge of Agile principles and practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.Experience working with JIRA and ConfluenceAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsPreferred skills and qualificationsTechnical project management experienceExperience working with SRE or Infrastructure teams working on a cloud hosted product.Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus
Compensation:The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
