Responsibilities
Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and startup of all types of instrumentation and logic control systems including:Flowmeters; magnetic, venturi, orifice plateDifferential pressure; flow, levelLevel; ultrasonic, capacitanceAnalyzers; filter backwash optimization, turbidity, pH, gasVariable Frequency Drives (VFD)PLC and SCADA system programmingProvide on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting support for control systemsPerform system testing and validation to ensure proper functionality and performanceConduct training sessions for customers on the operation and maintenance of control systemsEnsure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations while working on-siteDevelop and maintain long-term client relationships as well as be a team player with other staff members.Travel throughout the United States is required, approximately 25% of the year.Requirements
2-year technical degreeMinimum of 5 years significant experience in municipal (water / wastewater) automation projects including complex field service installation and startup activities.Minimum of 5 years knowledge and experience with gravity filter system backwash procedures and filter backwash optimization technology, Biogas and Filter Membrane Technology project experience is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems design, programming, and/or troubleshootingHaving extensive knowledge and experience in water and wastewater plant processes, water plant gravity filter systems, and wastewater plant tertiary filter control systems is a plusProgramming experience with hardware and software below is a plus:HMI/SCADA Application SoftwareGE HMI/SCADA Proficy iFIX Industrial Automation SoftwareInductive Automation Ignition HMI/SCADA SoftwareTrihedral VTScada HMI/SCADA SoftwareRockwell RSView32 HMI/SCADA SoftwareWonderware InTouch HMI/SCADA Archestra SoftwareProgrammable Logic ControllersRockwell Allen Bradley PLCsSchneider Electric Modicon PLCsEmerson Bristol ControlWave PLCsCommunications experience with the following is a plus:Ethernet fiber-optic data highway systemsFiber-optic testing & terminationsActuator-Sensor Interface (AS-I) 2-wire bus networksLicensed and Unlicensed Radio systemsMicrowave Data SystemsRadio surveysExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamWillingness to travel to customer sites as neededValid driver's licenseBenefits
