Our client, a Series A startup, is looking to hire several Senior Web Engineers to build out their team. As a founding Software Engineer on the Web Engineering team, you will shape the development and infrastructure of web applications using advanced technologies like PWAs and SSR. We are seeking someone with a strong background in JavaScript, React, Node.js, and experience in data visualization. You will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, solving complex problems and collaborating effectively with team members and partners. Your role will include mentoring others, suggesting process improvements, and driving best practices. Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years in web development with a robust portfolio of applications
Professional experience with client-side frameworks such as React, Redux, Angular, or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC is a plus
Experience with server-side technologies like Node.js and Next.js
Strong proficiency building / maintaining high performance web front ends using Typescript
Fluency in styling libraries like SASS or other modern styling library
Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), content delivery networks (CDN), and integrated analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
Understanding of web technologies and UI/UX standards, including internationalization (i18n) and accessibility (a11y) principles
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend engineers, and product managers, in distributed environments Experience with Material UI or other component design systems is a plus null
