Job Description:
We are seeking a Frontend Software Developer to work with our MARS Infrastructure Team!
In this role, you will join a collaborative, Agile team contributing to the development of frontend solutions using technologies, such as Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate is comfortable practicing Agile methodologies and familiar with the software development lifecycle, from user requirement generation to automated tests and deployment.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home the majority of the time however, onsite attendance at one of two SCIF locations (either in Reston, VA or, at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling) will be required 2-3 times per month, to support implementation and testing tasks.
Responsibilities include:
Design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications to enable the intel missionTroubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate offshoot issuesAnalyze and test programs and products before formal launchCollaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirementsEfficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with other developersEnsure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private informationActively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactionsHere's What You Need:
At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer using modern and open-source technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, and Angular.At least 3 years of experience developing distributed web applications with emphasis on frontend development using JavaScript and Vue.3 years' experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and ArtifactoryKnowledge of API best practicesExperience in Agile development technologiesOutstanding collaboration and communication skills are essentialSecurity Clearance:
Minimum of an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph, as requiredEducation:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experienceMinimum of five years of active, frontend development experience acceptable in lieu of four-year degree in Computer Science.Work Schedule:
