Job Description

-The Corporate IT team is looking for an Oracle EBS DBA, who can also support MS SQL Databases, and has experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

To manage and maintain our Oracle DB, Application and Microsoft SQL environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role involves end-to-end management of Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Databases, Microsoft SQL Server, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) components, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Oracle technologies and cloud administration, with a proven track record of ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements:

· Development support and maintenance of Oracle ERP and MS SQL databases.

· Knowledge of the ORACLE Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Microsoft SQL, with certification being a plus.

· Knowledge of the ORACLE SOA, ETL, MS SQL, SSIS and Integrations would be a plus.

Qualifications:

· Experience of 5+ years as an Oracle and/or Microsoft APPS/DB Administrator

· Experience in using and supporting OCI, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, IaaS.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Administration:

o Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite (R12).

o Manage and monitor EBS modules, concurrent managers, workflows, and custom applications.

o Handle cloning, backup, and recovery operations for EBS environments.

o Manage user access, roles, and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with security standards.

o Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with functional and development teams.

2.

Oracle Database Administration:

o Administer Oracle Databases (12c, 19c, or later) including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.

o Perform database tuning, optimization, and query performance improvements.

o Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including Data Guard, RMAN, and GoldenGate.

o Monitor database health, security, and performance using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

o Conduct regular backups, restores, and data migrations as needed.

3.

Oracle SOA Administration:

o Install, configure, and manage Oracle SOA Suite, including BPEL, OSB, and other middleware components.

o Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot SOA composites, web services, and integrations.

o Optimize SOA performance and ensure the reliability and scalability of the integration environment.

o Collaborate with development teams to support SOA-based integrations and resolve middleware issues.

4.

Cloud Administration:

o Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) hosting Oracle workloads.

o Automate cloud resource provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager.

o Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring alignment with business needs.

o Manage cloud networking, storage, and security configurations, including identity management and access controls.

5.

Security and Compliance:

o Implement security best practices for EBS, database, SOA, and cloud environments.

o Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX.

o Regularly apply security patches and manage vulnerability assessments and remediation.

6.

Monitoring, Performance Tuning, and Troubleshooting:

o Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

o Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and apply corrective measures.

o Fine-tune performance across the EBS, database, SOA, and cloud environments.

7.

Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR):

o Develop and maintain comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

o Perform regular DR drills to ensure readiness and minimize downtime.

8.

Support and Collaboration:

o Provide L2/L3 support for EBS, database, SOA, and cloud issues, coordinating with Oracle Support when necessary.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integrations, upgrades, and migrations.

Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for the IT team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1.

Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

2.

Experience:

o 5+ years of experience administering Oracle E-Business Suite (R12).

o 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

o 3+ years of experience managing Oracle SOA Suite.

o 3+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

3.

Technical Skills:

o In-depth knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 architecture, modules, and workflows.

o Expertise in Oracle Database management, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and Data Guard.

o Proficiency with Oracle SOA Suite components like BPEL, OSB, and adapters.

o Experience with cloud administration, particularly in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including automation with Terraform or Ansible.

o Strong skills in Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and automation tools.

4.

Certifications (Preferred):

o Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Database Administrator.

o Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certified Architect Associate or Professional.

o Oracle SOA Suite Certified Implementation Specialist.

5.

Soft Skills:

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

o Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.

6.

Work Environment:

o Willingness to provide on-call support and address critical issues during off-hours.
