IT Technician

We seek someone to help maintain Kingsmill's computer and network systems through troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, setting up computer networks, and assisting employees and customers with IT-related problems. The ideal candidate will possess sound technical knowledge to understand and relay effective problem-solving solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization Use of IT trouble ticket system, Request Tracker (RT), to address IT-related service requests from ticket creation through completion Escalate trouble issues to appropriate next-tier support vendors or internal support staff to resolve them cooperatively and efficiently. Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components Maintain and deployment of Point of Sale (POS) workstations. Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation Other Duties as assigned Qualifications:
Proven work experience in IT support or IT technician roles IT Technician Certification or equivalent work experience Demonstrated knowledge of information technology troubleshooting tools Problem-solving skills and technical documentation skills In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and networks Practical experience with Internet and network security protocols Organizational and interpersonal skills Command of the English language is required. The position requires a flexible work schedule, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. Must have a professional presentation and strong customer service skills Must have proven job stability through a solid work history Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. Must be at least 18 years of age. Other Duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications:
OPERA Property Management Solutions (PMS) system experience preferred. EZSuite Point of Sale (POS) system experience preferred.
