HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Associate Technical Designer, under supervised leadership, will manage the development of one category, according to business calendar deadlines. In this role, the Associate Technical Designer will need to work with TD leadership, being guided and trained to support continued growth in the role. This role typically reports into Sr. Technical Designer and has no direct reports. This position requires a basic to intermediate level of technical, process management and problem-solving skills. Duties include but not limited to below details:Apparel Development, under the supervision of a Technical Design Leader• Tech Pack Development- 60%- Basic grading concept- Provide input on garment construction that supports price value- Under leadership guidance, proactively manage deliverables- Basic fabric knowledge and application- Basic Patternmaking knowledge
• Cross-Functional Collaboration- 15%- Market Trend Awareness; understanding how trends align with seasonal and brand strategy- Ability to Interpret design fit intention and apply market trend POV where applicable across a single category• Sample Review and Collaboration- 15%- Ensure design and fit intent execute as desired and to tech pack specifications- Support dialogue that helps to influence decisions to maintain fit integrity & manufacturing efficiency while supporting business needs- Support fit sessions & discussions as needed, analyze fit and accurately communicate corrections of assigned product category• Project Support- 10%- Support efforts as needed to implement established standards- Support brands' fit identity across categories as category ownerWE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:Must have:- Basic Understanding of Grading and Patternmaking- Some Market Trend Awareness- Garment Construction- Fabric Knowledge- General Understanding of Fit to Fabric PerformancePreferre Skills:- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication- Problem Solving- Adaptive to Shifting Business Strategies- Technology SkillsSoftware Skills:
-Gerber Accumark- 2D or Equivalent Patternmaking Technology (preferred)
