Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-orientated and reliable self-starter. Specifically, this position will be a coach and fulfill the scrum master role for multiple scrum teams and help teams apply the principles of agile and become more effective at delivering software. The Sr. Scrum Master is a key member of the Technology team.

Hybrid Role - 3 days in office (T-TH)

Responsibilities:

Act as Scrum Master for scrum teams, coaching the teams to achieve higher levels of agile maturity at a sustainable paceAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or advisor to leadership, Architects, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other teams as an expert on Agile practices and coach on a variety of approaches to optimize value delivery.Guide teams to be self-organizing and motivate teams to focus on team goals/objectivesRemove impediments and act as a change agent to implement scrum across the organizationFacilitate the agile ceremonies, such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospective, daily standups and sprint reviewsAbility to influence without direct authorityFacilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution communicationFoster internal team communication by building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged and with an emphasis on problem-solvingEmpower teams and facilitate creativity while guarding quality and monitoring iteration progress while striving for successful completion.Protects the team from external distractions, allowing the team to focus on the work to which they have committed.Spokesperson for the teams to management. Disseminate information to the team, including metrics and charts.Assist with communication with the broader IT teams and business stakeholders to improve transparency and visibility into the team's progress and impedimentsEEO

Requirements

Certified scrum master / scrum practitioner (CSM, PSM)Adv SM, PSPO, CSPO, PMP, PMI-ACP, ICP, S@Scale Practioner, or other equivalent certifications desired.3-4 years' experience in a Scrum Master/ Agile Coaching role for a software development team that was applying Scrum principles, practices and theoryKnowledge and experience of agile techniques: user stories, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, continuous testing, etc.Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas to both technical and business constituenciesWhile not having direct management responsibility, the position requires managing activities through influence, accountability, and ownership, functioning in an agile environment.Desire to relentlessly drive continuous improvement and adaptation within teams.Coaching mindset to guide teams through different stages of development.Possess strong knowledge of agile frameworks or methods (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, Scrum@Scale, Disciplined Agile, LeSS, SAFe, etc), and understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practicesAdept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniquesExperience with JIRA and Confluence required

Salary Description

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00
