Job Duties and Responsibilities:

AWS Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to meet business requirements. Their role involves ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective.

API Management and Microservices:

API Design and Development: Expertise in designing and managing secure APIs using Apigee Gateway ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

Microservices Architecture: Expertise in microservices architecture and deployment using service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio), and how to design distributed systems that communicate securely efficiently and reliably

Key responsibilities typically include:

Designing Cloud Solutions: Develop cloud architectures tailored to business needs, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.

Implementation & Deployment: Oversee the deployment of AWS cloud solutions, managing the entire lifecycle from conception to go-live.

Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud performance, ensuring high availability, low latency, and cost efficiency.

Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, manage data privacy, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Cost Management: Monitor AWS usage and optimize costs by leveraging tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Budget.

Tehnical Leadership: Provide guidance to development teams and stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical and business needs.

Automation & Monitoring: Use automation tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform) to manage infrastructure and monitor systems for reliability and performance.

Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring quick resolution to maintain uptime and reliability.

Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and procedures, and advocate for AWS best practices across the organization.

Security Architecture:

Ability to design cloud architectures that are secure by default, incorporating encryption, identity management, and compliance with regulatory standards

IAM and Access Controls: Expertise in setting up and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, roles, and permissions to ensure secure access to cloud resources.

Network Security: Knowledge of securing network communication using firewalls, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud Armor.

This role requires expertise in AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, and more, along with a deep understanding of cloud security, networking, and storage systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as experience with DevOps tools and automation frameworks.
