The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking two experienced DevOps Engineer 3 professionals to join our DevSecOps team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing, implementing, and optimizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for our Eligibility Supporting Technology applications. This position requires hands-on experience with complex enterprise IT environments and offers significant autonomy to drive initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, review, modify, and enhance CI/CD principles and practices to improve deployment efficiency.Install, configure, and maintain CI/CD tools and platforms, ensuring optimal performance across all environments (development, test, training, and production).Automate processes to enhance operational workflows and minimize errors in code deployments.Develop, monitor, and optimize batch jobs and operations to maintain high availability for all users.Provide environment triage support, including on-call assistance during workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.Analyze current technology and processes, proposing improvements for scalability, repeatability, and recoverability.Document processes, procedures, and configurations for ongoing reference and compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support release and sprint activities, ensuring alignment with project goals.Create and implement advanced automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) methodologies.Mandatory Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience automating the full life cycle of complex enterprise IT environments using IaC, CaC, and CI/CD tools, including IBM WebSphere, MQ, Oracle products, and AWS.Proven ability to design and implement advanced automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Liquibase.At least 8 years of experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, Bash, or Perl.Strong experience with container orchestration and packaging tools, including Kubernetes (PODMAN, Docker, OpenShift) and Helm Charts.Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating systems, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical processes clearly.Desirable Qualifications:

5 years of development experience using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, and related technologies.Experience with IBM WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, and SQL tools (PL/SQL Developer, SQL Plus) is a significant plus.Working Conditions:

This position allows for remote work within the state of Texas, but candidates must be available for occasional evening, weekend, and holiday support as needed.The successful candidates will work under minimal direction, demonstrating initiative and independent judgment.
