I. POSITION: Level II Network Engineer

II. PRIMARY PURPOSE

Under the direction of the VP of Technology oversees all engineering/infrastructure aspects of IT while utilizing MSP for actual installs/upgrades/changes.

III. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Ensure a stable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure.Monitor switches / firewalls / wireless systems with assistance from MSP.Monitor all alerts from Firewalls Switches and Backups.Support technology infrastructures including LAN, WAN, firewalls,Manage and maintain phone systems.Ensure data integrity and provide data access/reports to appropriate personnel.Maintain/Monitor/Test Barracuda backup to on prem and cloud.Manage communications and upgrades of ISP connectivity at all the current base locations with VP.Provide infrastructure recommendations and technology plans.Wi-Fi configuration, security, implementation and management.Support and administration of virtual environment, (VMWARE, Hyper-V)Assist with management and support of server environment, including Dell ESXI Servers and EMC storage SAN/NAS.Perform Help Desk functions including identification of problems, resolution, and timely escalation of higher-level problems.Direction of additional team members when needed (ie absence of VP).IV. TEAM COLLABORATION

Collaborates with other IT Department staff members on projects and support issues.Collaborate with entire team to Support technology infrastructures including Windows servers, workstations, printers, IP cameras, etc.Maintains positive communication (written and spoken), effectively while interfacing with fellow employees, patients, referring hospitals, and the community at large.Ensure documentation and updates of technology practices including IT manuals.Shares in the provision of on-call night/weekend IT coverage.V. Unrestricted travelVI. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Combination of networking certification and a minimum of 2 years well-rounded experience with Networking knowledge, Microsoft technologies and platforms, including Windows and VMWARE products; Windows OS, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, IIS, and Office along with networking certification.Working knowledge of networks, computer systems and proficiency in Microsoft ProductsWorking knowledge of VLAN, TCP/IP, VPN, WAN and VOIP technologies.Ability to work both as a team member and independently.Willingness to work a flexible schedule to interface with staff working varied shifts.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsMust be able to always maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality.Ability to plan, manage, and organize multiple concurrent projects.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Commitment to 24/7 organization.Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language without restriction.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
