Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patient
The Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary position in the NICU also performs tasks related to receiving, preparing and delivering infant feedings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian and according to established procedures.

Education, Experience and/or Skills Required:
High School Diploma or GEDExcellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directionsProficient communication skillsAttend in depth orientation regarding patient care skills tasksAdditional NICU Specific:
Attends patient care skills tasks related to preparing and delivering infant feedingsStrong math skills for preparing and delivering infant feedingsEducation, Experience and/or Skills
Preferred :
NICU Specific:
Previous experience in a Milk Tech role or a Registered Dietary Tech roleLicense/Certification Required:
Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart AssociationLicense/Certification Preferred:
Certificate from an accredited nursing assistant training course (CNA); or minimum six months previous patient care experience or equivalent; or completion of one nursing clinical rotationNICU Specific:
Current Food Handler Course Certificate of CompletionBenefits:
