Master Electronics is growing and so is our Cyber Security team. We are looking to add a Cyber Security Engineer to our team based in Phoenix, AZ.

This position is primarily office-based, with potential for hybrid work.

What you will do?

Design and Implement Security Solutions: Develop and deploy security systems and infrastructure, including firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other cybersecurity measuresVulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify potential security risks and recommend corrective actionsSecurity Monitoring: Monitor network traffic for unusual activity, investigate incidents, and take immediate action to mitigate risks. Implement and manage SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) toolsIncident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans, lead investigations during security breaches, and ensure effective resolutionSecurity Compliance: Ensure that the organization adheres to relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., CMMC 2.0, NIST, ISO 27001 and SOC 2). Conduct audits and provide compliance reportsCollaboration and Training: Work with IT teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of the organization's technology. Conduct security awareness training for staff to minimize human risk factorsDocumentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of all security-related activities, including configurations, processes, and incidentSecurity Policy Development: Develop, update, and enforce the organization's cybersecurity policies and proceduresWhat you bring to the table!

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related fieldA master's degree or equivalent work experience is a plusThree to Five (3-5) years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security best practicesRelevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent is highly desirableProficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, and encryption toolsExperience with SIEM tools like Splunk, CrowdStrike or AlienVaultKnowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and OSI modelFamiliarity with cloud security practices (e.g., AWS, Azure)Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating security tasks.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
