Job Description:
Responsibilities:Provide tier 2/3 support for approximately 6,000 VDI users.Resolve incidents and tasks related to the VDI environment.Ensure compliance and security by managing patching, updates, and upgrades.Implement platform upgrades and changes as needed.Package applications using VMware AppVolume.Monitor the VDI environment and respond to alerts promptly.Provide on-call support and work after hours when required.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of experience building, deploying, and managing VMware Horizon in a medium to large-scale environment.At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting VMware ESXi on-premise environments.3+ years of experience developing and maintaining virtual workstation OS images, including optimization and profile management using DEM and FSLogix, as well as application packaging using AppVolume.3+ years of demonstrated experience with monitoring, optimization (including user experience and infrastructure), and automated issue resolution.Experience supporting a virtual end-user platform in a multi-datacenter, multi-domain environment.Proven track record of providing tier 3 end-user support.Preferred Skills:
Experience with VMware Workspace ONE.Knowledge of cloud-based VDI solutions (e.g., Horizon Cloud).Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).ITIL certification.Job Requirement
