WHAT YOU GET TO DO
The Software QA I will ensure quality assurance of SW products which are developed and commissioned by Knapp Inc.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Test of products/projectsReview function sheetsCreate test cases for new developments and execute these test casesOrganize and lead a project meeting with SW Commissioning and DevelopmentIntegrate selected test cases into a standard set of test cases for the respective Software productOrganize, prepare, and test software in the office (Kennesaw/Atlanta, GA) and/or at customer sitesTrain and support customers on issues related to our software and logisticsConfigure simulatorCross-Product Tests
Lead and perform cross-product testsReporting
Document performed tests via test documentation systemCreate anomaly reports in bug tracking systemTasks for support of Software Commissioning
Provide technical support including support on technical and process-oriented questionsCreate, maintain, and adapt auto-testsResponsible for the roll-out of auto-tests of products to projectsMaintain and support simulations and sandboxes and test VMsDevelop and support internal software projectsEnhance and extend test coverage of functions of a productCreate test projects and test plans based on standard test casesSupport the test lead on WMS projectsPrepare and sometimes, lead customer and employee trainingContinuously update and share technical notes (KDB)WHAT YOU HAVE
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fieldStrong knowledge of C++ or Java developmentSQL and PL-SQL experience is requiredExperience with Linux o Work in a mixed Linux and Windows environmentKnowledge of one of the following scripting languages is a plus: Bash, Perl, or PythonSolid understanding of network infrastructuresKnowledge and understanding of logistical workflows and processesKnowledge of current software development technologies and design patternsCapability to create workflows and processes in written form and sequence diagrams, and to develop and implement accordinglyStrong knowledge in one of the following fields: o Database development; process development, UI/HMI development • Knowledge of Knapp software implementation processWorking Conditions and Environment:
