Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Project Kuiper, Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?

It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for a Technical Program Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology and information systems, who thinks and acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess both the technical background that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Project Kuiper initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem solving situations requiring an understanding of technical infrastructure and stakeholder expectations.

Key job responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of projects related to SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) module from design to deployment including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.

Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery.

Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.

Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4.

Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.

Apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, which includes expertise in general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset management, project system, cost center accounting, product cost controlling, profitability analysis, and profit center accounting.

Configure SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including connection points with SD, PP, MM, PS, and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.

Have an ability to navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.

Demonstrate crisp communication skills, have experience communicating project status to a broad audience and be willing to follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

5+ years experience working as a functional lead with SAP S/4 HANA FICO module.

5+ years experience in configuring SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including connection points with SD, PP, MM, PS, and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.

5+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations role with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Expertise and in-depth knowledge of Make-to-Order & Order-to-Cash processes.

Experience with SAP Material Actual Costing and Project Billing systems.

Knowledge of SAP Vendor and Customer Consignment Processes.

Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
