Leidos is seeking a motivated and self-starting
Senior Salesforce Developer / Architect
as part of a web application development team. This position will be divided between enhancing the current Salesforce platform that includes CRM, KM, and Public Portal leveraging out-of-the-box features and custom development. The successful candidate will need to have hands-on expert implementation/configuration/development experience in Salesforce.
The
Senior Salesforce Developer / Architect
will be involved in the full development life cycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment and engage and facilitate discussions with other Salesforce experts.
The
Senior Salesforce Developer / Architect
will be expected to work with internal and external project teams to gather requirements and configure and extend the Salesforce application based on business needs with robust systems and testing documentation, within an agile environment. Successful candidates will be technical professionals, experienced in web application development. Candidates should have development experience with the Salesforce platform and be able to leverage the Salesforce-provided Application Programming Interface.

Job Responsibilities:Manage development activities across an agile team, driving customer stakeholder engagements, mentoring staff, and consultants to meet job expectations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand organizational goals and translate these into specific Salesforce initiatives.Drive the ongoing development and refinement of our Salesforce environment, adapting to meet our evolving needs.Perform hands-on technical Salesforce development and implementations, with a focus on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce.com platformWork with members of the team to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platformConfigure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, and relationships, customizing page layouts, flows, integration, automation, and validation rulesImplement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices and perform peer code reviews. Typical Salesforce implementations include custom platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components), integrations with back-office systems (often through the use of middle-ware tools including REST APIs and web services), and complex data migrationsProvide development support, from design through testing and deployment, often working with other members of the teamAssist with quality testing, including creating test scripts, training artifacts, and as needed for troubleshootingImplement, deploy, and document projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolsetPost-delivery: work with client teams in supporting the live application and perform hand-off and knowledge transfer activities, positioning our clients for long-term successStay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases, features and industry trends and continually assess and recommend improvements to the organization's instance, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.Certifications Required:
Salesforce Platform Developer IRequired Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in I.T. or other related field with 8+ years of related experience; Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. (May consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree)Ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which includes a credit check and background investigationStrong understanding of the Salesforce data model and best practicesExperience with Salesforce platform programming languages: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component framework, and Managed PackagesWeb application development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5Lightning Component development experienceLightning Design System frameworkDeclarative Force.com development tools such as Process Builder, Visual Workflow, Lightning App Builder, etcFollow established Salesforce development standards and best practicesBe comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work east coast hours (9:00 am ET - 5:00 pm ET)Preferred Experience:
