Position Responsibilities:
Load, unload and deliver product to customer sites within designated time frames safely using the most efficient routes as possibleMaintain required logs and reports necessary to maintain compliance with DOT and Company policies relating to safety standards and operation of delivery vehicles, forklifts etc.Safely load and properly block, brace, and secure the cargo.Strong knowledge of driving/traffic and transportation laws, and regulations and ensure continuous compliance while operating the truck(s).Operate forklift safely and efficiently to transfer, load, and unload product - ensure accurate product and quantity of product is being loaded into the customerPerform pre-check and post-check operations of Company vehicles and forklifts per required proceduresPerform warehouse duties and ensure accurate product and quantity of product is being loaded/transferred for customersFollow good housekeeping and safety practicesHeavy lifting requiredAct as the warehouse and/or front counter backup as neededPerform additional duties as neededNature & Scope:
Works within well-defined instructionsUses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasksWork is closely supervisedKnowledge & Skills:
Minimum 21 years oldPossesses a valid driver's license in the state of employmentHas a working knowledge of commercial truck mechanicsHas a working knowledge of current Department of Transportation (DOT) regulationsHas a minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 yearPlacement as driver is contingent upon successful completion of DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background checkDMV record cannot reflect an excess of 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 yearsValid driving license with excellent driving recordMust pass DOT standardsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to proficiently use MS Office including Outlook & Excel, Mincron and a scannerAble to multi-task well with the ability to assist in warehouse or front counter or a branch as neededBe timely to work and conscientious of his/her timeAbility to operate a forkliftExperience:
3+ yrs. driving a commercial vehicleCurrent Valid Driver LicenseEducation/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
