JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Senior Network Engineer to work under the supervision of the Director of Network Services. The role includes network engineering and operations work across our client's business units.

Proper planning of upgrades and changes; perform code upgradesUpdate documentation, procedures, diagrams, circuit IDs, etc.Liaise with Network Services team and end-users on day-to-day issuesReact to Network Monitoring platform alerts - identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related service problemsCoordinate with vendors (e.g., down circuit, equipment replacement)Produce support and operational documentationDevelop deployment, testing, and rollback plansAuthor How-To'sWork with ServiceNow tickets and ensure closure as per SLAStrive for continuing education in the fields of networking and unified communicationsWHAT YOU WILL NEED
Background in internetwork, LAN, and WAN, with a recent focus on Arista technologiesAutomation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible, Git) are requiredCloudVision-as-a-Service (CVaaS)Expert in switching, routing, and troubleshooting concepts (e.g., BFP, Multicast, OSPF)Thorough understanding of layer 2/layer 3 networking details, OSPF/BGP routing, VLANs, trunking, port-aggregation, static routing, upgrade processesExperience with: Spine-leaf Architecture (EVPN-VXLAN and SD-WAN)Knowledge of wiring, racking, cross connectsKnowledge of Palo Alto firewall & security conceptsKnowledge of cloud networking (AWS, VPC, Direct Connect/Transit Gateways)Ability to lift 20 pounds (i.e., rack mounting/movement of computer equipment)Occasional domestic travel; 25%
