As an Enterprise Architect supporting Central Systems, your deep background in financial and accounting system design and implementation will help guide our organization's technical strategy and ensuring understanding of our goals. You will shape the technology direction by overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of efficient, scalable applications, systems, and processes. It is crucial that your expertise encompasses financial, accounting, and actuarial systems and technologies, as these areas will support our operations. You will report to the IT Sr. Director.
What you do:You will maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, framework, and roadmap for our financial services company, encompassing business, application, data, and technology domains.Collaborate with partners, teams, and IT teams to understand our goals and align technology solutions accordingly.Identify opportunities to use technology to improve business processes, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and inspire creativity.Lead the implementation of architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization, ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements.Evaluate new technology trends, perform feasibility studies, and make recommendations to senior management for their inclusion in the enterprise architecture.Define and maintain an inventory of architectural components, systems, and their interdependencies to ensure management and understanding of our needs.Assess the current state of the technology landscape, identify gaps, and propose solutions to bridge them.Collaborate with project teams to provide architectural oversight, review designs, and ensure compliance with architecture principles and standards.Conduct regular architecture reviews and audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure.Stay updated on industry best practices, latest technologies, and regulatory requirements related to the financial services sector (i.e., IFRS, Solvency II, Statutory).Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.Experience with enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a related role within the financial services industry.Knowledge of industry-standard frameworks, methodologies, and best practices such as TOGAF, Zachman, and ITIL.You will have experience with financial services processes and technologies, including core insurance systems, digital platforms, risk management, compliance, and security.In-depth knowledge of financial accounting practices, principles, and processes, with hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining financial management systems (e.g., ERP, EPM).Proficiency in designing, implementing, and integrating complex enterprise systems, data architectures, cloud, and infrastructure components.1+ years of experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools, such as ADOIT or similar.You will have the ability to balance our needs with technical constraints.Experience delivering successful enterprise architecture projects, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and new ideas.Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or CISSP are highly desirable.
