Oracle Engineer- Mid

Position Overview:

The Mid-Level Oracle Engineer will be responsible for the hands-on development, implementation, and management of Oracle technologies supporting a DoD financial management system. This role requires experience in Oracle database management and cloud technologies, with a focus on enhancing system performance, security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Databases, and related technologies.

Define and manage custom image requirements, software versions, and patch levels in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Implement infrastructure services (IaaS) and deploy code using Terraform and Ansible.

Perform application STIG implementation and manage Oracle cloud environments in accordance with DoD requirements.

Lead automation of integration processes, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and system monitoring.

Support DoD financial compliance through regular security reviews and performance tuning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the integration of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

3-5 years of experience working with Oracle applications or databases in a DoD or federal government environment.

Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, and above), Oracle Cloud ERP, and PL/SQL programming.

Expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including custom image creation, ACAS, and HBSS Agents.

Secret Clearance

8140 IAT Level II certification

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Associate or Professional (or certification in process).

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher).

Experience with cross-endian re-platforming, RESTful web services, and Linux/Unix operating systems.

Programming skills in Python, Java (Spring framework), C++, or ECMAScript.

Understanding of CI/CD tools and practices, including source control (e.g., Git).

Experience with IPPS-A's Oracle PeopleSoft ERP application platform.
